In May 2011, the Illinois Democrats proposed new boundaries for the IL Congressional districts. If these IL Congressional districts are approved, they will be in effect for the 2012 elections through the 2020 elections.
The map below is a google map of the proposed IL Congressional districts, it is possible to zoom in and out to view the proposed boundaries. It is also possible to drag the map up and down and side to side, to view any part of the map.
Click twice on the white plus button (+) in the upper left corner of the map and the Illinois map will fill the screen.
Map source: Illinois House Democrats
If this this map takes a long time to load, then it will be best to go to the source of the map. The source map has an option to uncheck some of the districts. The map will load much faster when only one or two districts are viewed at a time.
